Bonfire Lounge / November 5th / 5-11pm


This November 5th, one of Hackneys’ historical landmarks The ‘ArtHaus’ opens its doors for an alternative evening of festivities. A one-off event of visual Art, installation and performance, Bonfire Lounge promises to deliver a truly authentic Bonfire Night experience
Against an external backdrop of bangs, cracks and smoke, internally a more subdued, relaxed atmosphere will shelter the attending guests with complimentary Mulled wine, Fine Art, Interactive projections, documentary film, poetry, performance art and music from the finest emerging talent.
Delivering a full program of Autumnal creative endeavour Bonfire Lounge ignites with, Fire Fine Artist, performer and documentary film maker Adam Frank Walker. 
 With music supplied throughout the night by talented photography, self publishing DJ duo Preston Is My Paris
Electronic Propaganda proprietor ‘Public Service Broadcast’
Eschews his bombastic audio and visual feast.
‘Matts’ palace’ provide their multifaceted acoustic ensemble to proceedings, sampling the likes of consumer culture with contemporary Jazz.
The stunningly beautiful and viscerally powerful performance Artist Ella Finer will perform a special piece in the buildings atrium.
Fragile & intense songstress ‘Giovanna Marshall’:  delivers her beautiful tones followed closely by delightful, pop driven, talking heads like Safari Funksters ‘Real Fur. Throw in Agitated local rant rhymist ‘Oh Standfast’  all set against a backdrop of live interactive projections, video art and performance, and you have all the fun of the bonfire without the frozen toes, poorly ears and crying children...
This event is free and requires no booking, the space can only accommodate a limited number of people and we are expected to be exceptionally busy as well as the event having a complimentary sponsored bar!?!

ARCHIZINES Exhibition



Preston is my Paris publication will be featured in the forthcoming ARCHIZINES exhibition taking place at the Architectural Association.
Adam from PPP has also written an essay for the accompanying catalogue that will be launched at the preview event on Friday 4th November.
 
Also featuring work by other brilliant publications such as The Modernist

NEW RELEASE







PIE 1 - Public Transport
 Following the successful launch event held at Son Gallery we are pleased to announce that issue 1 of the new publication series by Preston is my Paris is available to buy.
Preston Institute of the Everyday (PIE) is a multimedia publication released 4 times a year focussing on a variety of subjects relating to everyday life.  The first issue focusses on Public Transport and features photography by Adam Murray and Robert Parkinson.
PIE 1 will soon be made available as a free high resolution PDF digital download that is compatible with computers and portable devices.
In conjunction with the image based publication, each issue will also have a soundscape that will be available as a free podcast through iTunes or from here
The first soundscape has been produced by Rob Griffiths and features a blend of ambient recordings of public transport environments in Preston, Manchester, London, Paris and Berlin.
